LINDSEY VONN has shared gruesome X-rays of her leg after her latest SIX-HOUR surgery procedure.
She also revealed she is still “struggling” post-op after having lots of plates and screws put into her leg, so she has yet to be discharged.

The Team USA star, 41, suffered a “complex” fracture to her left leg after crashing just 14 seconds into her run in the women’s downhill skiing event.
It came just over one week after the alpine ski racer sustained a ruptured ACL.

She refused to let that ruin her Winter Olympics dream but now she has provided fans with a detailed insight into her multiple surgeries.
She posted on Instagram: “Made it through surgery… it took a bit more than six hours to complete.
“As you can see, it required a lot of plates and screws to put back together but Dr Hackett did an incredible job.

“With the extent of the trauma, I’ve been struggling a bit post op and have not yet been able to be discharged from the hospital just yet… almost there. Baby steps.
“Will explain the injury and what it all means soon.”
Her update was accompanied by two X-rays which clearly displayed a number of plates and screws with at least 20 visible.

A video was also posted as she made her way into surgery.
She also uploaded a further image of her resting in her hospital bed as she takes small steps on her road to recovery.
