Aiden Ross Makes History: The Texas A&M Sophomore Who Conquered\u00a0<\/b>The Voice<\/b><\/div>\n
Aiden Ross, a sophomore industrial distribution major at Texas A&M University, has achieved a monumental milestone, taking home the top prize during the highly competitive finale of the popular musical competition,\u00a0<\/span>The Voice<\/i>. At just 20 years old, Ross secured the victory after months of intense competition, becoming the first-ever \u201cAggie\u201d to win the prestigious top spot.<\/span><\/div>\n
Ross\u2019s journey was remarkable, as he impressed a lineup of superstar judges that included Michael Bubl\u00e9, Snoop Dogg, Niall Horan, and Reba McEntire, ultimately captivating the entire nation with his talent. He successfully faced off against five other talented finalists in the final round of the competition, proving that his hard work paid off.<\/span><\/div>\n

Mentorship and Aggieland Roots<\/b><\/div>\n
Throughout the season, Ross was coached by Niall Horan, who was an amazing mentor to the young artist. Ross openly stated that he shared a great connection with Horan, partly because the coach \u201cjust makes the kind of music that I want to create one day.\u201d Though he is not a full-time student currently, Ross is still taking classes, noting that finding the necessary balance between his schoolwork and his music has been \u201creally fun, but really interesting.\u201d<\/span><\/div>\n
Despite choosing to study industrial distribution, Ross found a powerful way to channel his musical passion while attending Texas A&M by joining the a cappella group HardChord DynaMix. Ross confessed that he had avoided pursuing a degree in music out of fear, struggling to \u201csee the light at the end of the tunnel\u201d for a potential career. However, he quickly realized that \u201cAggieland\u201d was a special place, noting that even though Texas A&M is a big school, \u201cthere\u2019s a space for everybody, as long as you\u2019re willing to seek it out.\u201d His welcome into HardChord DynaMix, where he was immediately \u201cwelcomed with open arms,\u201d confirmed his sense of belonging at the university.<\/span><\/div>\n
